Therapy With Purpose

Understanding who you are, and how you want to live.

Living authentically begins with understanding yourself.

Therapy provides a space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, values and experiences without judgment — separating what genuinely matters to you from the expectations and pressures that may have accumulated around you.

The goal isn’t to become someone different.

It’s to become more comfortable being yourself.

Who are you when you’re not simply fulfilling the roles others expect of you?

Individuation is the ongoing process of developing a clearer sense of self — recognizing your values, needs, boundaries, strengths and identity while remaining meaningfully connected to the people around you.

Therapy can help you recognize patterns that no longer serve you and make more intentional choices about the person you want to become.

Balance doesn’t mean everything in life receives equal attention.

It means finding a sustainable relationship between the different parts of your life — relationships, work, responsibilities, personal needs, emotions and aspirations.

Together, we can explore where life feels out of balance and work toward something that feels healthier, more intentional and more sustainable.

Meet Mark

Therapy Should Feel Like a Conversation.

Hi, I’m Mark. I’m a Registered Psychotherapist based in the Greater Toronto Area

I have an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice and Public Policy from the University of Guelph. Shortly after I graduated I worked with the NATO Association of Canada, RBC Dominion Securities, and tried pursuing a career in law enforcement. In 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic I ended up at a crossroads as what to do with my professional life. I decided to make a major career pivot where I went back to school, and chose to complete a Master’s in Psychotherapy.

My Practice

My practice is rooted in helping you develop authenticity, individuation, and balance. The primary psychotherapy modalities I draw from are DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Humanistic practices like Existential Therapy. I am passionate to work with clients and couples who want to better understand themselves and overcome challenges that they feel are holding them back. My goal is to help clients develop greater self-awareness, self-compassion, purpose, and resilience to live the life they want.

Personal

During my time away from work, you can find me at the gym, playing tennis, playing guitar, reading, cooking, and tending to my vegetable garden.

You Don't Need

to Have Everything

Figured Out.

You don’t need the perfect explanation for why you’re considering therapy.

Sometimes there’s a specific problem.

Sometimes life simply feels out of balance.

And sometimes you realize that the life you’re living doesn’t quite feel like your own anymore.

Wherever you’re starting from, therapy can provide the space to explore what’s happening and decide what comes next.

Authenticity. Individuation. Balance.

Reviews From Clients

Sometimes the best way to understand the experience of therapy is through the words of those who have walked the path themselves.

Mark Jarratt has been my councillor for the past eight months during his internship. Every week I looked forward to my session with him, either in person or via Zoom when necessary. I always felt Mark’s sincere commitment to be of service to me, no matter what.
